Water Meter Readers 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars Lafayette, LA 70507 Worknet Staffing is hiring Water Meter Readers for work within Lafayette Parish. The day begins by obtaining a listing of meters that must be manually read for that day. Then safely operate a company vehicle to the various locations. Manually read the water meter and input the data into a handheld device. There will be times when the meter is covered in dirt, mud, water, etc. and will have to be cleaned to be made legible. Work week is M-F 7am – 4pm. Only apply if you can meet the following list of requirements:
MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING IN ALL-WEATHER TYPES.
Must possess a Louisiana driver’s license with insurable MVR. Must be comfortable using handheld computer to input data retrieved from meters. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times when representing the company. Must operate company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Must have reliable transportation to the work site. Must be able to work the assigned days and time schedule with very little interruption. Must possess the time management skills needed to organize and complete the day’s assignments.
