Millwright / Fitter 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Reserve, LA 70084 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems and be adept at troubleshooting and maintaining various types of industrial equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and systems, contributing to overall production efficiency. Duties Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in accordance with specifications. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters to diagnose problems. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems and high voltage equipment. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance tasks and inventory. Conduct field service operations to address equipment malfunctions at various locations. Collaborate with other industrial mechanics to ensure optimal performance of all machinery. Adhere to safety protocols while working around low voltage and high voltage systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Millwright or in a similar role within a manufacturing facility. Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, high voltage, and low voltage electrical systems. Familiarity with using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and ammeters. Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
