Job Description
Service Technician – Mobile/In Shop – 1 Yr Exp Pref. Burchfield Truck Sales Duncansville, PA 16635 Burchfield Towing & Truck Sales is looking for a self motivated diesel truck service technician for our Duncansville, PA location. This position will include both in shop and roadside diagnosis and repair. Applicants must have previous mechanical experience and their own tools. Technicians must be self-starters and willing to work long hours and varying shifts with limited notice. This position will require travel and some nights and weekends as call volume demands. This position requires a valid driver’s license with no-more than two (2) current moving violations. Previous electrical, mechanical, and shop experience required. Valid PA Driver’s License required. PA State inspection license preferred.
Tasks/Requirements:
Abide by all company and departmental policies. Be able to work both in shop and outdoors, including roadside and at job site locations Build and nurture relationships with your clients. Complete safety, vendor, and client required training. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic concerns on light, medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers Log time, daily receipts, and invoices to manager Own your successes and failures. Regularly lift, move, or hold items weighing 50lbs. or more. Respond to 24/7 Repairs on-call rotations. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues (trailers, cranes, liftgates, trucks, etc.). Work at height or in confined spaces for extended periods of time. Work with other Service Technicians on large jobs sites.. Hydraulic troubleshooting experience (a plus) Mig, Tig, and Stick welding experience (a plus)
