Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to perform service, repair, and installation of high-speed doors and commercial dock doors. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on commercial doors and dock equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain high-speed doors and commercial dock doors at customer locations. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with various types of doors and related equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on doors and dock equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Diagnose issues accurately, order parts as needed, and provide cost-effective solutions to customers. Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues, repairs, and preventive measures. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent. Provide emergency service and after-hours support as needed (on-call rotation). Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and company vehicles. Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience (2+ years) as a service technician working with high-speed doors, commercial dock doors, or similar mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in varying weather conditions. Availability for emergency calls, after-hours, and weekend work as needed. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with loading dock equipment, including dock levelers, seals, and shelters. Certification or training in high-speed door systems or dock equipment repair.
