About Us CS Engineering is a 3-axis CNC machine shop specializing in precision fabrication. We utilize cutting-edge technology, including large-format CNC routers, fiber lasers, water jets, and hydraulic brake presses, to deliver high-quality components for diverse industries. The Opportunity We seek a motivated CNC Operator Trainee with a foundation in CAD and technical drawing to train under our expert technicians. Over 6 months, you’ll master CNC machinery operation while applying your CAD skills to real-world projects. Post-training, you’ll emerge as a versatile fabrication professional with highly competitive industry skills. Key Responsibilities Prepare, operate, and monitor large-format CNC routers, fiber lasers, water jets, and hydraulic brake presses (training provided). Use CAD software to create, modify, and optimize flat-pattern DXF files for production. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric tolerances (GD&T). Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications. Maintain equipment cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols. Collaborate with the fabrication team to troubleshoot design-to-production challenges.
Required Qualifications CAD Proficiency:
Demonstrated experience with CAD software (e.g., Onshape, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360) for drafting or design.
Technical Drawings:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, and annotations.
Portfolio:
Ability to draft and modify .
DXF/.DWG
(Flat files). CAD certifications : Any parametric CAD certification. (e.g., Certified Onshape Associate, Autodesk Certified Professional, SOLIDWORKS
CSWA/CSWP
).
Language:
Fluent English (verbal/written) for safety briefings, documentation, and team communication. Ability to speak Korean and Spanish are welcomed but not required.
Mindset:
Eagerness to learn CNC operations, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (Spanish): Bonus for conversational/professional Spanish to support team communication.
Fabrication Exposure:
Any prior workshop, welding, or metalworking experience.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to troubleshoot file-to-machine discrepancies. Training & Growth First 6
Months:
On-the-job training in machine setup, tooling, material handling, and CAD-to-CNC workflow (flat pattern DXF focus).
