CNC Set-Up Operator Airtech Precision 10814 NW 33rd Street, Doral, FL 33172 CNC Operator Job Description The Set-up operator will follow our QMS procedures in the production environment. The responsibilities for this role will include supporting the production floor and CNC Department by performing set-ups of CNCs, Operation, First Article, In-process and Final inspections, signing inspection documentation and making sure production support documentation was filled out completely by all responsible parties. In addition, improve productivity, support in solving technical or documentation problems as they arise, and supporting the corrective and preventative actions. This role will also support our ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 documentation and procedures support. Job Overview Responsibilities Set-up CNC parts on machines by following job instruction packs and work holding info. Develop Best practice set-ups for Mills. (Lathes/Multi Axis Mills and Multi Axis Lathes/VTLs a plus) Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprised of machinists/operators, manufacturing engineers, production supervisors, quality engineers/inspectors, and operations/program management to support program schedule & performance goals, mitigate manufacturing risks, and improve operational efficiency. Design custom tools and fixtures as needed Develop set-up sheets to show alignment of geometry from CNC program to physical workpiece. Identify, select, and procure appropriate tooling and material for job specific applications (based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability). Own process improvement opportunities (reduced machining/setup time, improved part quality) Safely working within an industrial environment Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality. 2015&AS9100 procedures. Experience Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in CNC Machine Set-up. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
