Machine Operator (CNC) NEXTAFF Somerville, TN 38068 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, ensuring the production process runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a solid understanding of machinery, basic math skills, and the ability to work collaboratively on the assembly line. Duties Operate and monitor machinery, including stamping presses and machining equipment, to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate components according to specifications and quality standards. Utilize CAD software for design modifications and improvements as needed. Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Package finished products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation. Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing or machining is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks. Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing facility preferred. Familiarity with assembly line processes and production workflows. Knowledge of logic controllers is advantageous. Forklift certification is a plus but not required; willingness to obtain certification is necessary. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
