Job Summary- Manufacturing Blending Operator Under the direction of the ShiftLeader and Production Supervisor/Manager, the Blending Operator isresponsible for set up and operation of machinery to combine dryand liquid chemicals into customer products. The Blending Operatorensures safety is their 1 priority; they produce the highestquality product at the lowest possible costs while meeting customerspecifications and delivery requirements in accordance withCorporation policies and procedures. Sets up and starts allmachines, checking all controls for adherence to mixing/blendingprocedures. Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
Demonstrates teamwork in all phases of operation. Weighsingredients to meet recipe specification and inserts intomachinery. Experienced and capable of working in both Food Gradeand Industrial operations. Troubleshoots equipment and processingissues. Examines materials visually in order to ensure conformanceto established standards. Operates machinery to mix, discharge orhandle materials according to operating procedures. May takesamples of materials to lab for evaluations and instructions.
Refers issues/problems to lead/supervisor for disposition. Performsall required machine cleaning Completes and maintains all requiredcomputer inputs. Responsible for data integrity. Documents workcompleted as required including logs, data reports, procedures,etc. Participates in training, retraining and continual improvementprocesses and methods. Maintains departmental housekeepingstandards. Supports the vision, mission and guiding principles ofthe company. Follows all rules, laws and procedures related toHS&E, ISO and other regulations. Other projects/duties asassigned or needed.
Required Skill:
Must be able to read/comprehendwritten and oral instructions in English; read and comprehendsafety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, proceduremanuals and product recipes/materials. Must have mathematical skillto add, subtract, multiply and divide and to apply these skills toweights, measures of volume and distance. Must effectivelycommunicate in writing and verbally in English. Competency incomputer and PC software including email, internet, and MS office.
Must have manual dexterity for hand tools of various types. Must beable to drive forklift. Must have problem solving skills and somemechanical aptitude.
Required Education & Experience:
US HighSchool diploma or GED equivalency or equivalent experience 1-3years of industrial/manufacturing experience (in manufacturingenvironment- not assembly line manufacturing) AdditionalQualifications Must have mathematical skill to add, subtract,multiply and divide and to apply these skills to weights, measuresof volume and distance. Must effectively communicate in writing andverbally in English. Competency in computer and PC softwareincluding email, internet, and MS office. Must have manualdexterity for hand tools of various types. Must be able to driveforklift. Must have problem solving skills and some mechanicalaptitude.

WORKENVIRONMENT
Depending on the location of work, the employee may beexposed to a magnetic field from a rare earth magnet.
