Full Job Description Summary:

Under the direction of the supervisor, the blender will manufacture a variety of dry powders within set specifications. The Blender is responsible for the quality of blends, accurate completion of all paperwork, sanitation of blender and blending area, and meeting all sample analysis requirements.

Responsibilities :

Verify all the raw materials are present and accurate in terms of quantity and lot information before starting the blending process Add each raw material in the specified order according to the blending instructions Discharge materials and powders into suitable containers and document the process Follow all blending instructions Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times Comply and adhere to all GMP’s policies Accurately measure conversions and ingredients Clean and sanitize all equipment according to GMP standards Additional duties as assigned

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalency preferred 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment with blending powdered food or liquid materials Ability to use a calculator and other measurement instruments Basic computer skills a plus Flexibility for overtime when needed Must be able to read/write English Ability to work autonomously and use resources available to complete tasks timely Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50lbs Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish) Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours We are drug free workplace, regulated by the FDA, required to follow Federal Guidelines; therefore in order to start as well as maintain employment, you must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.
