Lakeside Book Company is looking for skilled machine operators to assist us in running the latest technology in high speed offset printing presses. As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help craft books that end up in the hands of readers across the country and learn a skilled trade that will be in high demand for as long as people continue to seek knowledge.

Starting Rate:

$21.41 an hour for 3a-3p shift 100% Paid Uniforms
$100 Safety Shoe Reimbursement
$100 Quarterly Attendance Bonus
Quarterly Production Goal Bonus
Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Quality Awards
2 Weeks of Vacation Annually
10 Paid Holidays Annually

Work Hours:

4-crew schedule working on 50% of the days in a year: three 12-hour days in week 1 and four 12-hour days in week 2. Every other weekend is a three-day weekend. (3p-3a). 8 hours every pay at 1.5x pay!

Location:

We are located at 1005 Commercial Drive, Owensville, MO 65066.
As a Machine Operator (Assistant Press Operator), you will:
Make-ready, run and maintain an offset printing press
Insert blankets and plates
Assist the Press Operator by making register and color adjustments
Work in a team environment and cross-train with others
Receive training to help advance your career
Previous press experience is preferred. We will provide you with the additional training you need to be successful.

Qualifications:

Ability to lift and carry 20 to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift
