Job Overview
Smurfit Westrock, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions, is seeking a Baler Operator to join our corrugated packaging division. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining baling equipment to process recyclable materials efficiently, ensuring smooth operations within our production facility.
Key Responsibilities
Operate baling machines topress and bind corrugated materials.
Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
Sort, load, and process recyclable materials according topany standards.
Securely bind bales for storage and transportation.
Maintain accurate records of processed materials.
Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on baling equipment.
Ensurepliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and bales.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Must have forklift experience and certification (preferred).
Experience operating baling or heavy machinery.
Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and maintenance.
Strong attention to detail and adnce to safety guidelines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Physical stamina for manual labor and lifting heavy materials.
Team-oriented mindset with strongmunication skills.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
