The main objective is operating the tenter frame that applies a finish to fabric. Responsibilities Verify information on weave cards matches what is being run on machine Patrol assigned machines and inspect cloth for off quality occurrences Repair warp breaks and weft breaks as they occur and restart machines Notify technician of problems with machine that affects efficiency or quality Creel yarn into creel stands if necessary Repair crossed warps Apply and use appropriate BMS codes Other duties, as assigned Skills Proven experience as a machine operator Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery Understanding of production procedures Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) Attention to detail Teamwork and communication skills Physical stamina and strength High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus One of the benefits working at Bekaert Deslee is our comprehensive benefits offerings effective the first of the month following 30 days of employment.
