Role:

We’re seeking a dedicated Extruder Operator to join our 3rd shift team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of extrusion machinery, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards and production goals. Your work will involve monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and addressing any issues that arise during production. You’ll also collaborate with team members to enhance safety, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance. Your efforts will have a direct impact on our operational success and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor extrusion equipment to maintain consistent production and quality output. Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot machinery to minimize downtime. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Inspect and measure product properties such as flatness, gauge, length, width, gloss, haze, orientation, and squareness. Identify and correct defects, including die lines, contamination, and patching issues. Record production data and report any irregularities to supervisors. Assist in training new team members on standard operating procedures. Complete necessary paperwork and product labeling accurately. Use basic computer systems for data entry and tracking.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED. Prior experience in a manufacturing or production setting. Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment maintenance. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with extrusion machinery. Understanding of quality control standards and procedures. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one). Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
