Job Description Position Purpose:

Musthave at least a GA Class 3 Wastewater license or the ability toobtain through reciprocity

NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Operator I operatesand maintains sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposaland testing equipment in refinery/industrial facility to purifywater to meet customer specifications.

PrimaryDuties/Responsibilities:

Some experience in a related position andenvironment preferred. Must consistently demonstrate the ability tolearn and independently operate assigned machines and equipmentmeeting or exceeding processing and quality targets. Mustdemonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipmentsuch as pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates,mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control,disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses andmeasuring/control devices, testing equipment and material handlingequipment. Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environmentand willingness to assume additional or new responsibilitiesreadily.

Qualifications Education/Experience/Background:

HighSchool Diploma/GED is required. Some experience in a relatedposition and environment preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Must demonstrate a working ability to use computer programs forprocess control. Must have the ability to read, write andcomprehend English (operational, process, safety and qualityinstructions). Must have the ability to perform basic mathematicalcalculations. Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergencyon-call if required by site.

RequiredCertification/Licenses/Training:

Must possess a valid driver’slicense and a safe driving record. Must be able to pass a drug testand a criminal background check.
