Must be able to operate a milling machine while capable of maintaining the depth of cut and cross slope that will achieve the results specified in the project contract documents Able to remove existing asphalt pavement by milling to improve the ride ability and cross slope of the pavement, to lower the finished grade adjacent to existing curb prior to resurfacing, or to completely remove existing pavement Understand and follow specific plans to specify an average depth of cut Operate the milling machine with a built-in automatic grade control system while controlling the transverse slope and the longitudinal profile to produce the specified results Operate and limit the amount of dust escaping during the removal operation Able to complete pavement removal, the operator may use alternate removal and crushing equipment in lieu of the equipment specified Understand basic survey nomenclature Able to Judge distance and slopes accurately Able to make decisions based on verifiable standards Remove the existing raised reflective pavement markers prior to milling Milling cross slope, remove the existing pavement to the average depth specified in the plans Able to utilize requires use of a string line to ensure maintaining the proper alignment Able to randomly take measurements of the cross slope of the milling operation Understand production and quantity requirements Ability to utilize automatic grade control system Ability to schedule work while maintaining production Hauling and stockpiling or otherwise disposing of the milled material as instructed Ability to lead and delegate work within work scope Ability to train other crew members Responsible for daily maintenance of equipment to remain in proper and safe working order Please submit resume for immediate consideration
