SMT Machine Operator illumination Devices 44 Hull Street, Randolph, VT 05060 Overview Job Summary Illumination Devices is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator / Production Floor Worker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating SMT assembly equipment, assisting with general production tasks, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Load feeders, inspect solder paste application, and monitor reflow ovens. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate assembly processes. Perform soldering tasks on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Conduct routine maintenance on SMT machines. Adhere to IPC 610 standards for quality assurance in electronic assembly. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency. Production Floor Support Participate in assembly, inspection, and testing of LED lighting components. Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions. Maintain clean, organized workspaces in compliance with 5S and safety practices. Assist with packaging and inventory as needed.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Experience with SMT machines or electronics assembly. Ability to read technical drawings and soldering skills (preferred but not mandatory). Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Preferred:
Previous manufacturing or electronics production experience. Familiarity with IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality control (will provide training for IPC Standards as needed).
IPC-A-610
certification a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of surface mount technology processes is a plus. Proficiency in soldering techniques and familiarity with soldering equipment. Competence in using measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
