Job Introduction:
As a Molten Metal Casting Technician, your role involves the precision application of babbitt to raw materials. In this pivotal position, we’re in search of a technician acquainted with an array of casting processes and an adept handler of molten metals.
Main Functions:
Preparation and breakdown of fluid film bearings Executing effective grit blasting Configuring spin casting machinery Administering molten babbitt through spin or static casting
Desirable Credentials:
Acquainted with foundry or casting tools and equipment Understanding of material properties for ferrous and non-ferrous metals Experience in TIG welding Fabrication expertise Proficient with acetylene torch techniques Knowledge in operation of furnaces and melting systems Skilled in managing overhead cranes Proficient in reviewing routings, schematics, and procedural documents Problem-solving enthusiast Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work autonomously
Physical Demands:
Experience working in a heated indoor casting environment Regular lifting of items up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, crawling, reaching, and walking required Demonstrated clarity in reading, writing, listening, and concentrating
