This position is has direct oversight for the work performed by employees at the plant site.
What you will do:
Assist the Assistant Plant Superintendent in coordinating and overseeing the daily production schedule at the aggregate processing plant. Monitor plant performance, equipment functionality, and material flow to ensure efficient and continuous operation. Supervise plant personnel, including loader operators, crusher operators, and laborers. Support preventative maintenance and troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime. Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with material specifications. Help enforce company safety policies and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Keep accurate records of production, maintenance, and employee activities. Provide training and guidance to new employees as needed. Act as the lead in the absence of the Quarry Manager and the Assistant Plant Superintendent.
What you will need:
(Minimum qualifications) 3+ years of experience in aggregate plant operations or a related field. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of crushing, screening, and material handling equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and plant schematics. Familiarity with safety regulations (MSHA/OSHA) and commitment to safety. Mechanical aptitude and ability to assist with plant maintenance and repairs. Effective communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and in varying weather conditions, as needed. Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
