Press Brake Operator Mercury Corporation Hammondsport, NY 14840 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. Duties Operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components as per technical drawings and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machine setup and production processes. Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers to ensure accuracy in dimensions and tolerances. Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in the operation of additional machinery such as lathes, cranes, or forklifts as needed. Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
