How would you contribute? This role is a contributing member of our Airlite Kodiakooler team, located in Statesville, North Carolina. As an Assembly Technician you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for assembly of boxes and cooler inserts, quality inspections, accurate inventory placement and shipments of products and ensuring the safety of all team members.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for gathering materials for product assembly, the assembly and construction of boxes and the assembly of finished goods. Assemble and package assemble parts to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure orders are placed in the correct area to support inventory, report any discrepancies to inventory levels. Prepare pallets and product bundles for shipment based on company standards, properly label and palletize. Visually inspect parts for quality defects and report according to requirements. Pull, label and stage orders for outbound shipments Ensure production paperwork is turned in daily on items assembled Keep production areas clean for inventory builds including floors clear of debris and all dock areas / doors accessible Do you have what it takes? Physical demands and work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hand dexterity to handle product; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
