Fabricator Position Available In Cheatham, Tennessee

Job Title:

Fabricator Job Description As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for preparing materials before the welders begin their tasks. You will read blueprints and measure materials accurately to ensure a smooth workflow for the welding team. Expect to be on your feet for the entire shift, moving throughout the plant as needed. Responsibilities Lay out materials and prepare them for welders. Read and interpret blueprints. Measure materials accurately. Remain on your feet for the entire shift. Move throughout the plant as required. Essential Skills Experience with flux core, MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience in fabrication and fitting. Proficiency in working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and structural steel. Minimum of 3-6 months of previous welding experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to pass a weld test (1-5F). Completion of two weeks in on-site weld school if offered. Ability to work without piecings. Steel toe ankle-high leather boots required. Ability to work without contact lenses due to welding smoke. Wear long sleeves and pants. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in an outdoor environment that can become very hot. The first shift operates Monday to Friday from 6 am to 3:30 pm, and the second shift operates Monday to Friday from 3:15 pm to 12:45 am. Employees must adhere to a dress code that includes steel toe boots, long sleeves, and pants for safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.30 – $21.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
