The Production Supervisor will provide training, create work schedules, evaluate the performance of team members, and process discipline team members who fail to follow company policy and procedures. The Production Supervisor is also the contact person for team members with complaints or requests for time off. The Production Supervisor will investigate complaints and resolve personality issues between workers. The Production Supervisor may act as mentors, develop employees, and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement in the organization. The Production Supervisor prepares production reports for management and ensures their department meets the company’s expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. Ensure the quality standards are being met in relation to Standard Operating procedures (SOP). Initiates rejection of products manufactured which do not meet specifications. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action. Work closely with other Supervisors to ensure production handovers are effective communications tools. Have an active role in the company’s continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company. Incumbents will follow any other instruction, and perform any other related duties, as may be required by their Manager. Good computer skill a must.
