out of 5 stars Montgomery, AL 36109 The Working Leader III will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of supervision, will assign work for individuals, group or team; while improving methods and procedures for greater productivity, improved quality, safety, efficiency and cost. Monitor/report on the status/progress of work, check work in progress and review completed work Coordinate with Plant scheduling to set up end item scheduling categories Coordinate with operation schedulers to set up subassembly scheduling categories Create BI reports to run SWR Coordinator Coordinate with supervisors for timing to complete items Report to the supervisor periodically on team or individual work accomplishments, problems Ensure environmental, health & safety and housekeeping (6S) rules are followed. Accurately prepares reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information as required and coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work related information to the supervisor Coordinate the communication of production/section schedules/work orders with production departments and material control. Maintain internal control of assigned schedules to determine that all orders are accounted for on a daily basis. Confer with production and other personnel to exchange information regarding scheduling, inventories and related issues. Assist as required, in the development and recommendation of strategies to improve manufacturing’s ability to react/accommodate schedule changes with minimum disruption and loss of efficiency. Adjust schedules as necessary per urgency of customer requirements. Work closely with various groups and personnel on issues involving scheduling, production problems, capacity planning and interplant issues. Report all production scheduling deficiencies that could adversely impact customer service. Identify, consult and promote the applications of best practices in the areas of WIP inventory levels as they apply to lean manufacturing techniques/just in time. Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate Physical Demands:

Candidate must be able to perform continuous lifting of 25-60 lbs; Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs. Candidate must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift. Candidate must be able to lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull. Candidate must have vision skills acceptable for a lift truck license as well as the ability to board and unboard the vehicle. Candidate may be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles. Candidate will be required to wear all applicable Personal Protective Equipment appropriate for the work area.

Required Skills:

Candidate must be able to lead a diverse team and have excellent time management and conflict resolution skills. Candidate must have a valid lift truck license. Candidate must have strong measurement reading skills and be able to read and interpret blueprints/sketches and diagrams. Candidate must possess strong written and verbal communications skills. Candidate must possess basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Oracle, etc). Candidate must possess mechanical aptitude appropriate for troubleshooting the work area. Prior temporary working leader experience preferred. Ideal candidate will be self directed, requiring minimal super-vision and team oriented.
