Position Summary:
The Night Shift Welding Foreman plays a vital leadership role in supporting the General Foreman with the coordination and oversight of the welding and fabrication department during night operations. This position ensures that production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met, while guiding and developing the welding team.
Essential Functions:
Enforce and support all TTI/FSS Company Safety Policies and procedures. Read and interpret blueprints , drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) .
Proficient in welding processes:
SMAW , FCAW , GMAW
, and SAW . Experience with heavy structural steel , bridge work , and tank fabrication . Set up and troubleshoot welding equipment including leads , suitcases , and weld machines . Ensure welding work complies with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 code requirements . Accurately utilize weld gauges to verify weld quality and adherence to specs. Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring, and leadership to night shift welders. Collaborate with supervisors and QA/QC to resolve issues and maintain schedule adherence. Maintain detailed documentation and reports as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform additional duties as needed in support of company operations and production needs. Participate in safety meetings and promote the company’s safety culture . Communicate effectively across departments to ensure coordination and workflow.
Quality Standards:
Must follow all established welding procedures and quality control guidelines. Responsible for inspecting work to ensure it meets specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 5 years’ experience in welding, with heavy steel and structural emphasis Prior experience in welding supervisory roles strongly preferred Strong understanding of welding codes, materials, and fabrication methods Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Able to prioritize and lead in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Team-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude
Language Skills:
Must communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing Must be able to interact effectively with staff, departments, and management
Work Environment:
This role involves working in an industrial fabrication shop environment, including exposure to welding fumes, heavy equipment, and elevated noise levels during the night shift.

$30.00 – $36.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
