About the Job The Water Street Brass location seeks an efficient and motivated individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and efficiency goals are met. The ideal candidate will lead and coordinate a team of production workers, troubleshoot process issues, and drive continuous improvement efforts. This is a full time, exempt role which reports to the Operations Manager. Key Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members. Ensure compliance with production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures. Monitor workflow and make real-time decisions to resolve delays or production problems. Maintain accurate production records and prepare shift reports. Collaborate with quality control, maintenance, and logistics departments to ensure smooth operations. Identify process improvements to reduce waste, optimize throughput, and enhance product quality. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations. Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and equipment. Train, coach, and evaluate production staff. Monitor production associates’ attendance and time keeping. Administer progressive discipline inline with company policy. Support HR in recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new hires. Maintain performance records. Required Knowledge and Skills High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial management, manufacturing, or related field preferred. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment. • Clear understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing. Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software (e.g., ERP systems). Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Ability to frequently move about inside the plant to access supplies, parts, tools and equipment.
