Production Assistant Genova Pipe Ozark, AL 36360 Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Production Operator to join our team at our new PVC pipe manufacturing facility. This role is essential to our daily operations and plays a key part in ensuring high-quality product output and efficient plant performance. Duties Start up, monitor, adjust, and shut down plastic extrusion equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Load raw materials (e.g., PVC resin, additives) into the extruder and monitor material levels throughout the shift. Operate forklifts to transport materials, finished goods, and scrap safely throughout the plant. Use various hand and power tools, including saws, deburring tools, hammers, tape measures, and strapping machines. Record accurate production data, including quantities produced, scrap, downtime, and other production details. Perform routine quality control checks, including pipe measurements and inspections, and document results. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following plant housekeeping standards. Assist with loading and unloading trucks, staging pallets, and wrapping finished goods. Follow all safety protocols and participate in regular safety meetings and training.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in plastic extrusion, manufacturing, or warehouse environments. Forklift certification or ability to become certified. Basic math and mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and interpret work instructions and quality standards. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
