Brake Press Operator 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Adel, GA 31620 Summary In the role of Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality fabricated metal parts. Your core skills in blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and precision measuring instruments will be essential in ensuring accurate and precise bending of metal components. Your relevant skills in fabrication, tooling, and quality control will be instrumental in meeting production targets and maintaining a safe working environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proficiently operate metal fabrication equipment including sheet laser, CNC turret, Shear and Press Brake Change and maintain tooling Upload and make minor changes to programs Perform routine daily maintenance Work with maintenance and engineering staff to troubleshoot various machinery problems Read and interpret and operate from prints and shop drawings Work with Windows based computer products for viewing and printing drawings Keep work area clean and safe Observe safety and environmental rules and regulations at all times Communicate effectively with other employees and departments Work in a team environment Attention to detail Perform additional duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Ability to use measuring tool such as micrometer, calipers, tape measures and basic shop tools Ability to read, interpret and operate from prints and shop drawings Must be familiar with windows based computer products for use in viewing and printing drawings Must understand and proficiently operate all controls and fabrication equipment Ability to change and maintain tooling Ability to perform routine daily maintenance on machines Ability to work required hours including overtime Perform job with minimal supervision Ability to work as a team Communicate effectively with other employees and departments Detail oriented
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
3+ years of relevant work experience Must be able to read blueprints Basic computer skills using windows based products Prior experience operating controls and fabrication equipment Prior experience with Cincinnati lasers, Amada press brakes and Amada turrets, a plus Understand and proficiently operate all controls and fabrication equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. continuously Ability to work in non-air conditioned manufacturing environment Constant standing Frequent bending and stooping Clean work environment Exposure to noise, dust, and airborne particles Tools provided Safety training and other required PPE provided Must submit to pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
