We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable UV Technician. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our UV production process. Open availability, reliability, attention to detail, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:
Setup and Calibration:

Prepare and configure UV printers for daily production runs, including media alignment, ink levels, and printhead calibration. Load and test substrates such as plastic, acrylic, metal, and glass to ensure proper adhesion and alignment.

Operation and Monitoring:

Operate UV flatbed and/or roll-to-roll printers with precision, ensuring print jobs meet established quality standards. Monitor print queues and inspect printed materials for color accuracy, registration, and print defects.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of UV printers, including printheads, vacuum beds, and ink delivery systems. Troubleshoot mechanical or software issues with printers, escalating to senior technicians or manufacturers as needed.

Color Management:

Use RIP software and ICC profiles to ensure consistent and accurate color output. Adjust print settings to achieve optimal results across different materials and lighting conditions.

Safety and Material Handling:

Follow safety protocols when handling UV inks, solvents, and curing lamps. Properly store and dispose of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations. (Documentation and Reporting) Log maintenance activities, production output, and material usage accurately. Report recurring issues, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors or engineering teams.

Collaboration and Support:

Work closely with designers, production staff, and quality control to meet deadlines and resolve printing challenges. Assist in training new team members or operators on printer usage and maintenance procedures.

Process Improvement:

Identify and suggest improvements to streamline print processes, reduce waste, or improve print quality and consistency. Ensure reliable and punctual attendance. Sort film according to numbered bins with high attention to detail. Maintain organization in the production area. Ensure production runs smoothly and effectively. Stock production items on a regular basis. Work in the manufacturing process and stations. Count inventory. Package completed items. Place a priority on quality over speed. Provide help to others, as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors. Follow instructions accurately to contribute to the efficiency of operations. Perform quality control checks on film for defects such as scratches and color issues. Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Be able to stand for long periods and lift a reasonable amount of weight.

Requirements:

Open availability and punctuality are a must. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude. Capacity to follow instructions accurately and efficiently. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight. Great attendance record. Open availability for scheduling. Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience operating UV production machinery or equipment. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks. Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors. Willingness to undergo additional training or certifications related to the production process. Flexibility to adapt to changing work assignments or priorities. Previous experience working in a quality control role. Knowledge of basic computer operations for data entry or inventory tracking purposes. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment.
