Full Job Description Costume Design Assistant:

The Costume Design Assistant supports the Costume Designer with the implementation of their costume design for the BMCC Theatre Program Mainstage Production. This encompasses the sourcing of costumes and materials, construction and alteration of costumes, organization of costume plots for the wardrobe crew, and the creation of head-to-toe looks for the characters, including hair, makeup and accessories. The salary is $50.31 per hour, with a budget of 150 hours for the semester (up to $7,546). Hours are submitted via weekly timesheets. The position begins Tuesday, August 26. The Trojan Women opens Wed, Nov 19 and runs through Sunday, Nov 23 with the costume strike starting on Monday, Nov 24. Cast size, budget and other details will be made available during interviews. •A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.•Experience in academic theatre is also a bonus.
