Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Control Clerk to support our operations team in managing and recording essential production data for an industrial facility. This key role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate reporting and smooth workflow coordination across production lines. The ideal candidate will be experienced in data entry, production tracking, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, compile, and record production data from a variety of sources including customer orders, work tickets, product specifications, and worker production sheets. Calculate critical metrics such as production output, material consumption, scrap rates, quality control issues, and labor productivity. Generate and maintain accurate reports and logs using spreadsheets, databases, and word processing tools. Prepare production reports following standardized formats and procedures. Create detailed production sheets or work orders to guide production teams in assembly or manufacturing processes. Maintain organized files and production documentation for auditing and reference purposes. Develop and update production schedules based on staffing levels, material availability, and workload priorities. Monitor inventory levels, prepare material requisitions, and assist in coordinating procurement activities. Create visual aids (charts, graphs, etc.) to present production trends and KPIs to management. Distribute work tickets, materials, or job packets to appropriate departments. May assist with payroll preparation by calculating wages based on timecard data and posting relevant payroll entries.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in production control, administrative support, or industrial data management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with database systems is a plus. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with manufacturing or facilities maintenance operations preferred. Pass a Federal Background check.
