CLEANING RACK OPERATOR / STEAM RACK ATTENDANT!

Our new hires begin on a progressive pay schedule. Start rate is $21.94 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential. This is a great entry level position in a Union Shop to begin your career! CLEANING RACK OPERATOR

. In this position, you will perform railcar cleaning procedures as required per the railcar type and the last commodity that was carried in that railcar. Applicants will need to complete a pre-employment physical including respirator clearance to enable work to both the inside and outside of the railcars.

) Description of Duties /

Qualifications:

Must be capable of performing car cleaning procedures with a good understanding of the Steam Rack equipment and commodities specific to each car. This includes tank car cleaning, steam cleaning, entering and cleaning of cars to remove all residue and foreign material, and washing out hopper cars Must pass Valve Specialist I exam and possess a knowledge and capability of removing and applying tank car valves

Education Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required Must be able to pass a Company skill assessment test

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stoop for extended periods and routinely move from kneeling to standing position Must be able to wear a respirator Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground surface Must be able to climb ladders and perform work at elevated heights Must be able to work in confined spaces Must be able to pass Company physical exam Must be able to pass alcohol and drug testing Must be able to pass vision acuity test
