Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Quality Control Specialist for their facility near Union City, New Jersey.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement food safety programs (e.g., HACCP, allergen control, BRCGs).
Conduct inspections of materials, processes, and products to meet GFSI standards.
Maintain records of quality checks, test results, and corrective actions.
Ensure documentation aligns with GFSI standards for audits.
Educate employees on GMP, food safety, and SQF standards.
Collect product samples for lab testing.
Participate in audits and identify process improvements.
Lead traceability investigations for quality issues.
Manage supplier evaluations to meet quality standards.
Train staff on food safety, GFSI standards, and quality protocols.
Qualifications:
Experience in food environments; GFSI experience preferred.
Knowledge of QMS and industry standards.
Experience with BRC or SQF audits
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Capable of determining and executing corrective actions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Preferred:
5 years’ experience in food quality assurance, HACCP, and food safety plans.
Strongmunication and team leadership in fast-paced settings.
