Quality Inspector 2nd shift 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars 250 Bamberg Dr, Pell City, AL 35125 Starting rate $18.00 per hour!! Are you interested in a new career? We may be looking for you! Valtir is hiring a Quality Inspector in our Pell City, AL plant! As a Quality Inspector at Valtir, you will make visual and measured inspection of products to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements. You may inspect incoming materials or plates, outgoing materials, or fittings and weld throughout the manufacturing process. The inspector may apply singular inspection process, such as hydrostatic tests, and perform x-ray, destructive, and non-destructive examination to verify specified dimensions, strengths, and other quality factors using measuring instruments and inspection equipment. The inspector may also perform magnetic particle inspection. Valtir is a Tier Above in safety and innovation as a leading manufacturer of highway guardrail, highway guardrail end treatments, temporary and permanent crash cushions, truck-mounted attenuators, and cable barrier systems. Monday – Thursday 4:30pm – 3:30am What you’ll do: Ensure quality procedures and policies are being followed Conduct shop Inspections in a timely manner Work with shop personnel and supervisors to improve overall effectiveness of Quality System Monitor welders to ensure they are welding within the welding parameters Responsible for verification of all calibrations of tools used for inspection to include welding machines. Responsible for monitoring welding wire for storage Make sure all quality records are being completed and procedures followed Work well with employees on the shop floor and have a good working relationship with supervisors Issue Non-conformances or Corrective actions Process tags, completed assemblies and products Inspections of subcomponents during fabrication What you’ll need: Relevant experience in manufacturing processes Must possess good interpersonal skills Demonstrates the ability to work with others efficiently and effectively either one-on-one, as a team or in a group Must possess a positive attitude with self-motivation Must be able to communicate effectively 6 months experience in manufacturing processes with minimal knowledge in a quality function
