SUMMARY OF THE JOB

As the QA/QC Tester on our Product Team, you’ll be our dedicated quality gatekeeper. Working closely with BIS partners and business stakeholders, you’ll lead business acceptance testing across a wide range of product releases—including deposits, lending, treasury (RDC, ACH, PP, Wires), online/mobile banking, and core system updates. Your work ensures that digital enhancements, rate changes, and new products meet our high standards for functional accuracy, compliance, and seamless customer experience before deployment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Acceptance Testing & QA Execution Develop, execute, and track test plans, cases, and scripts for product releases (rate changes, digital enhancements, core updates) in collaboration with business and technology partners Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across systems—including BIS, iBanking, digital/mobile platforms—ensuring accuracy and performance. Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions, gather business and stakeholder sign-off, and manage defect triage and resolution. Risk & Compliance Assurance Complete risk assessments and validate compliance requirements for each release; escalate issues promptly. Ensure that updates align with policy, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards. Quality Control & Continuous Improvement Monitor production releases and perform regression testing to ensure stable performance. Maintain and enhance QA documentation, including test libraries, results logs, defect tracking, and reporting. Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements to strengthen release readiness and reduce defects. Collaboration & Communication Partner with BIS, IT, product managers, and business teams to clarify requirements and ensure testability. Provide regular updates on QA metrics—defect trends, test coverage, execution status—to leadership. Facilitate test environment preparation and data setup, coordinating with tech teams.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. 2-4 years in a QA/QC, business acceptance, or UAT role—preferably within banking or financial services. Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM) and spreadsheets.

Knowledge of banking systems:

core banking (Fiserv/FIS/Jack Henry), digital channels, and treasury operations (ACH, RDC, wires). Ability to analyze test results, identify risks, and present issues clearly. Understanding of banking product lifecycle, regulatory and compliance frameworks. Strong attention to detail and appreciation for “fit for purpose” and “right first time” standards. Effective communicator with the ability to translate business requirements into testable scenarios. Proactive problem-solver who engages cross-functionally to achieve quality outcomes. Comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders throughout releases. Methodical, organized, and deadline oriented. Strong sense of ownership and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Quality-focused mindset with a drive to continuously improve processes.
