Job Description

The Quality Assurance Program Coordinator is responsible forimplementing and overseeing the comprehensive quality improvement planfor all Elder Services’ programs, services, and initiatives. TheQuality Assurance Program Coordinator leads the internal and Board ofDirector Quality Improvement Committee meetings and serves as the pointperson and central communication channel for all Agency qualityimprovement activities. The Quality Assurance Program Coordinatorcreates a practical quality assurance program that covers allsignificant aspects of ESBC operations, programs and staff assignments.

This position will promote a “Continuous Improvement” philosophy atall times.

  • Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Associate Degree inSocial Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field required. Must havea minimum of three years’ experience working in a human servicesenvironment; experience in Gerontology preferred.
  • Competencies:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communicationand presentation skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work withminimal supervision
  • Ability to interpret, understand and adhere toregulations, standards, and procedures as set forth by ESBC, theExecutive Office of Aging & Independence, Mass Health, and otherregulatory agencies as necessary
  • Flexibility in responding to changesin AGE’s Designation Process, Reporting Requirements, etc.
  • Commitmentto working with older adults; sensitivity to aging issues
  • Leadershipability and appropriate assertiveness and follow-through
  • Attention todetail and thoroughness
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently andas part of a team
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Aging & Disability,database reporting, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated team-building skills
  • Knowledge of quality improvement programs and processes
