The first 3 letters in workplace safety are Y-O-U!TK Elevator is currently seeking Electronics Tester in Byhalia, MS. Responsible for visually and electronically inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing elevator hydraulic power units and associated components.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for visually, mechanically and electronically inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing elevator hydraulic power unites and associated components to insure proper operation according to design criteria.
Uses periods of concentration and knowledge of equipment to interpret performance data, hydraulic schematics, electronic circuit schematics, and other reference drawings to understand operation function of the device.
Will manually connect / disconnect controls, plumbing, and other assemblies to test power units and will use periods of concentration and knowledge of equipment to perform operational tests on power units and other assemblies according to print specifications.
Must have the ability to perceive color to distinguish color coded wiring schemes and components.
Will visually analyze performance data and will adjust and correct problems with power unit performance.
Receives written and oral job assignments and instructions from supervisor. Performs other various job duties as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position. Who we are looking for
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School (or equivalent) and/or Technical School diploma required.
Two or more years working experience in maintenance position in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
Possess a basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Proficient written and oral communication skills essential for the role.
Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, work independently with minimal guidance.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Possess a basic knowledge of the manufacturing processes.
Proficient written and oral communication skills essential for the role.
One or more years work experience in a lean/continuous improvement environment, preferred.
