QC Tech Location:

Battleboro, NC, 27809 Ensure GMP compliance in the plant (Daily) Including assisting in investigation, documentation, corrective and preventative actions. Training & Development of all QA Line Tech activities in Coordination with QA Management Monthly audit duties, its maintenance, and follow-up Daily auditing QA line tech’s documentation Complete projects, gather data, perform investigations, or complete reports as directed by QA Management Knowledge of aseptic handling of samples Troubleshooting with weights, timely notification to all parties, and corrective action follow through HACCP Checklist Monthly or as requested Pest Control Monitoring as requested (ILT glue board replacement, tin cat monitoring) Daily Walk through production and storage areas performing general visual audit to recognize any GMP issues, non-conformities, verifying hold labels, and notifying appropriate personnel of any findings.(may be partially performed during Line Tech coverage) Assist in performing and/or evaluating Glass Audits as requested, reporting needed updates Knowledge, review, and updates as needed in coordination with Line Techs to Monthly Bottle Audit Weekly Review of all PR & supporting documentation in production areas signed by QA for accuracy and completion, emailing any discrepancy. Notify all non-QA errors to Shift supervisor via email. Always copy appropriate personnel. Coordinating Environmental Testing with QA Management to be completed as directed Coordinating with QA Lab tech for testing as requested Includes Air Monitoring, Hand Plates, Environmental Swabbing for Listeria and Salmonella Sample selection and shipping (As Needed) Pulling packaging and/or samples as requested by Management Review QA maintenance of the cleaning cart and its preparation for weekly cleaning shift Verify stocking of cart Verify Cleanliness, replacing any necessary brushes or items on cart as needed, notifying of condition to QA group. Ensuring that all sanitation equipment is clean, operational, and assembled correctly (2X/Week) Includes cleaning as needed, replacing handles/brushes that are broken/worn as needed (check weekly) Verify correct assembly, color coordination, location, reporting all findings Inventory – Alerting/reporting of any items needed in a timely manner Documenting/Filing as needed/requested by QA Management Attention to shift emails & updates Placement and/or follow-up to updated SOPs in designated areas as requested Knowledge of bakery, cream, & packaging specifications Data entry of records and results as requested and defined by QA Management Other tasks as requested and defined by your supervisor or manager Back-up Line Tech Responsibilities Preoperational ATP swabbing & monitoring Complete the Daily Verification Audit (minimum of 2x per shift) Knowledge of line clearance for changeover/startup and completing line audits/checklists Knowledge of the HACCP program and how to verify the calibration of every metal detector, performing a successive metal detector check Performs daily product review evaluating various product, date code, and product parameters as prescribed on the product review form. This evaluation encompasses weight monitoring, visual appearance, taste, and coding parameters. This review is done outside of production in the QA office. Any out-of-specification or unusual results must be immediately communicated to Management. Knowledge & Rules for Finished Product Sample collection for Laboratory testing Shoe Hygiene Check and reporting with follow-up as needed. Alert QA Management of issues (extended time on rack, non-clearance/missing shoes, etc.) Chemical for pump sprayers (know rotation schedule) Check/Fill High Care PPE prior to end of shift each day Cleaning Station Titration Complete EOS Email Function qualification: Experience in food manufacturing environment, knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and AIB standards a must. General Measurement Skills and Media Preparation Analytical Problem Solving Thinking Critically and High Attention to Detail Knowledge of Production Processing Methods Basic Microbiological Testing Skills (for lab back-up or environmental testing)
