Responsibilities:
Perform all required chemistry and finished product quality checks promptly with a high degree of accuracy. Accurately enter all test results into the RedZone platform Ability to prepare samples accurately for testing according to SOP. Ability to operate the Red post to collect pasteurization data and create reports. Ability to set up and calibrate the Heuft x-ray machines. Ability to calibrate pH meters, Brix Abbemat, Alcolyzer, Hanna auto TA titrator, and PFD/C-box. Ability to operate OneVision seam analysis machine and generate reports for release. Perform TOA analysis on finished products. Assist in the inspection of incoming products/materials – PQC program. Ability to accurately interpret data to support the production department. Ability to recognize critical quality defects and shut down the production line and escalate when necessary. Alert leadership promptly to any quality issues that arise. Follow prescribed escalation plan on off hours and weekends to alert senior leadership of issues needing immediate attention. Support the Batching department with prompt accurate results. Assist operators/line support as needed. General understanding of the hold and release procedures. Ability to accurately identify out of specification conditions that require a product hold and follow hold procedures to isolate, and tag affected products. Inspect finished goods for defects including all cartons, trays, bullseye location, stretch wrap position, tensile strength, and any other quality checks prescribed by management. Collect and store retain samples according to the retain policy. Operate can coding equipment with exceptional accuracy and verify all lot code information at the prescribed frequency. Assist the production department in verifying all lot code information on finished product materials for each product produced. Tray codes, carton codes, stickers, etc. Assist lab supervisor on consumable supply inventory and reorder of all needed supplies for the department. Work in a timely fashion in a team environment.
Requirements:
1-3 Years Lab experience in the Food/Beverage industry. Able to lift at least 50 pounds. Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time Reliable Transportation Able to work overtime as needed. Ability to work alone on projects with limited supervision Familiarity with Google Docs/Microsoft platforms 10pm-6:30am
