SCHEDULE

M-F, 7AM-3:30

PM SUMMARY:

Inspects new and reworked parts for conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerances and hardness by performing duties.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Senses ‑ Sight and hearing required. Body Motion ‑ Full range including bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, stepping up and down, full wrist action. Weight ‑ Lifting requirements are moderate for this job regularly lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement daily practices, which will contribute to departmental housekeeping. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Serve as an active member by routinely performing tasks such as: assisting in the training of employees; participating in problem solving activities; reporting workplace safety hazards; suggesting quality improvement methods, etc. Responsible to ensure conformity to product requirements. Inspects cleanliness. Inspects parts for flaws or other non-conformances based on specification requirements with specialized equipment. Reviews and determines acceptance of products/services provided by subcontractors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Read and write English
