Job Description

We are searching for a Sanitation Supervisor for our frozen manufacturing plant in McDonough, GA. The position is responsible for providing oversight and training, scheduling, development and supervision for all sanitation employees in a Frozen/Fresh Fruit manufacturing plant production environment. Responsibilities Comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance to their intended use and safe for human consumption. Manage, oversee, and develop a department of approximately 7 employees. Ensure safe and accurate distribution of chemicals and sanitation supplies. Ensure all processing areas are sanitized. Maintain a timely schedule so that all production operations start on time. Monitor and evaluate employees’ sanitizing procedures and practices. Ensure GMP’S are understood and practiced. Review pre-operation results with Quality Assurance. Verify all sanitation documentation. Maintain safe working conditions. Manage department budget for sanitation. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

Must have working knowledge of relevant FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), sanitation processes/procedures, SQF requirements and HACCP. Familiar with Safety Learning Management Systems (LMS). What You’ll Need to

Education & Certification:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field If no degree, must have at least 4+ years of experience in quality/manufacturing/sanitation management roles

Work Environment:

Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures. Will work around chemicals and in wet and slippery areas. Cold working environment, on average 40 degrees

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to climb stairs and ladders up to 16ft. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must have dexterity to be able to hold a high-pressure hose (750-1000psi) for long periods. Must be able to work with chemicals. Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements to perform job. Must be able to bend or squat low enough to go under conveyor belts.
