The Kennebec Sanitary Treatment District is a Grade V regional activated wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of 12.7 million gallons per day, is seeking a full-time Assistant Wastewater Operator to help protect the health of our communities and the Kennebec River. What You’ll Do:

No two days are exactly alike. You’ll play a key role in: Operating and monitoring plant equipment to ensure smooth and efficient treatment Adjusting processes as needed to maintain strict permit compliance Recording equipment readings and maintaining detailed records Running the sludge dewatering process Overseeing safe delivery and handling of treatment chemicals From time to time

• working with maintenance department and lending a hand wherever needed

What You’ll Bring:

A high school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret process data and make informed decisions Comfort working both independently and as part of a team Safety-minded with a willingness to learn Basic smartphone & computer skills (MS Office, Physical readiness for the job: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and confined space entry

What We Provide:

We invest in our people. New to the field? We’ll get you licensed and trained: Grade 2

• Maine Wastewater Operator Certification
• must be obtained within 6 months (we’ll help with that!) Competitive base hourly rate: $22.44
• 27.

35/hour , based on experience and qualifications. Additional hourly stipends for operator certification!
