Job Description
Mobile, AL, USA | Full Time I.A.F.D. Inc., is looking for Carbon and Stainless-Steel Welders (Fluxcore) This is OUTAGE work for the Spring season (March – June) and requires consistent travel throughout the US + Competitive Pay ($27.5 – $30.5) to include Per Diem + Paid Airfare (to and from the project) + Paid Hotel (shared with one crew member) + Rental Car (depending on background check and driver’s license status) Your base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: weld test taken.
Requirements:
+ Must be at least 21 years old. + Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. + Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen – No felonies within the last 7 years. + Must have experience as a Welder in Industrial Construction. + Must be available to travel continuously throughout the US to jobs (IAFD pays for travel). + Must be willing to support other craft if need be + Sound understanding of industrial construction safety. + Pass a Performance weld test
Responsibilities:
+ Weld along vertical, horizontal, or overhead weld lines. + Examine weld for bead size and other specifications. + Must be able to set up and/or troubleshoot welding machines as needed. + Ability to frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. + Work on elevated surfaces such as scaffolding, on top of units, in boiler systems, 100+ feet, and in confined spaces. + Follow all safety requirements + Can communicate effectively with team members, management, and supervisors.
