LOCATION:
Jackson, MO SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for soldering a quality product efficiently as part of our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and soldering various parts according to specifications and work instructions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interprets work instructions to determine soldering requirements. Produces a quality product in a timely manner. Use hand and power tools correctly that are necessary for the job; including hand and stand soldering irons. Read a build document and order, knowing when to ask questions when necessary. Know what cold solder is and what is considered quality work. Learn all product builds and new products as they develop. Inspect metal and product for flaws before soldering. Inspect soldered material after completion to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications. Complete a daily quota sheet, documenting all work that is done for the day. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required. Previous experience as a solderer preferred, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Ability to follow instructions. Reliable way to get to and from work. Ability to sit for long periods of time and remain focused. Good mathematical skills, including measurements. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new soldering technologies and processes.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Occasionally required to stand. Occasionally required to walk. Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity. Continually works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; color vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
