The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and a strong understanding of industry standards and codes. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures, ensuring precision and quality in your work. You will work primarily on construction sites and may also be involved in ductwork installation and repair. Duties Interpret and read blueprints to determine project specifications and requirements. Utilize power tools and welding equipment to fabricate metal components according to design specifications. Perform welding tasks using various techniques, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, using tools such as calipers and micrometers to measure precision. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects. Operate cranes safely for the movement of heavy materials as needed during the welding process. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience in welding, with a solid understanding of different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick). Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively. Proficiency in using power tools and equipment related to welding tasks. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards governing welding practices. Experience with ductwork fabrication is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precise measurements using calipers and micrometers. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
