Outreach Specialist –
Recovery Connections of Central Florida Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Outreach Specialist to join our team at Recovery Connections of Central Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders in the government sector, the private sector, private treatment providers, and community organizations. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of recovery processes, and the ability to foster partnerships that expand access to resources and improve outcomes for individuals in recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and nurture strong relationships with government agencies, private sector organizations, private treatment facilities, and community-based organizations. Represent the organization in high-level meetings, advocating for policies and initiatives that support recovery efforts and organizational goals. Serve as a liaison between the organization and stakeholders to promote collaborative initiatives.
Program Promotion and Awareness:
Develop and execute outreach strategies to raise awareness about the organization’s programs and services. Coordinate events, workshops, and forums to engage community partners and promote recovery resources.
Strategic Planning and Advocacy:
Participate in policy discussions with government officials and advocate for legislation that supports recovery services. Collaborate with private treatment providers to enhance service delivery and address gaps in care. Identify and pursue funding opportunities through partnerships and grants.
Community Collaboration:
Work closely with grassroots organizations to understand community needs and align services accordingly. Facilitate partnerships to increase access to care, peer support, and educational resources for individuals and families in recovery.
Data and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and stakeholder engagements. Provide regular reports to leadership on partnership outcomes and opportunities for growth.
Personal Attributes:
Passionate about supporting individuals in recovery and committed to reducing stigma. Lived recovery experience is required. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be capable with Excel, Word, Outlook and other common business applications. Collaborative and adaptable, with a solutions-oriented mindset. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Working Conditions:
This position may require travel for meetings, events, and outreach activities. Evening or weekend hours may occasionally be necessary based on organizational needs.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Milage reimbursed. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
