This position is ideal for director level marketers in themedical device space to join the Channel Marketing Team in the USBusiness. Partnering with product marketing, sales, finance,communications, events, experiences, analytics, and globalpartners, you’ll provide key marketing strategies for theorthodontic channel to unlock new submitters and growth. This rolewill also manage a team of 5-7 direct reports. This role isbusiness critical and the key to unlocking Align’s marketpotential. The Director, Orthodontic Marketing will be responsiblefor growing our business with Orthodontists. The candidate willlead the channel end to end and in addition to a team of Marketingand Education professionals to generate core clinical and businessinsights on targeted customer segments and develop and executestrategies that address key customer barriers ultimately drivingcustomer utilization with a heavy emphasis on penetrating andgrowing the Orthodontic market. They will ensure proper trackingand analysis of business results to gauge progress in achievingbusiness objectives. The Director will serve as voice of customerand sales partner in guiding product roadmap activities to managingagency efforts pertaining to customer-facing campaigns. Roleexpectations

  • Create and execute an Orthodontic marketing plan byworking closely with Sales, in order to drive case utilization,tying to Consumer Marketing, iTero scanner business strategy andEducation
  • Serve as thought leader internally for US Orthodontists
  • Develop positioning and messaging of Align brand and products toCustomers and create channel communications which motivate trialand utilization.
  • Lead commercialization of product pipeline,working closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams. Thisincludes coordinating with Education, Corporate Events, and otherareas of Marketing and Sales. Also includes development of ClinicalClaims to support product launch.
  • Uses data and customerinteractions to develop a deep understanding of customer andconsumer needs—and effectively educates the broader organizationabout these needs
  • Leads cross-functional teams in creating andexecuting tactical plans that support our business strategies
  • Analyzes reports and other data sources that gauge the health andgrowth of the business, and future business trends. Works withfinance to manage the annual and quarterly forecasts.
  • Manages arange of projects that support our strategic and tactical efforts,including market research studies, development of customer-facingmarketing collateral (brochures, emails, web pages, tradeadvertising, etc.), and creation of new reports to analyze progressin building the business
  • Develop annual plan with quarterlytactics executed and measured
  • Coach and develop direct reports
  • Additional responsibilities: o Ensures the effective fulfillment ofobjectives and deadlines assigned to the group o Complies with allsafety policies, practices and procedures. Reports all unsafeactivities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
  • Participates inproactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goalWhat were looking for
  • Minimum 12 years of marketing or relatedexperience, dental or medical device marketing strongly preferred
  • BS or BA required; MBA on prior consulting experience preferred
  • Strong leadership; demonstrates initiative, takes action, anddrives for results
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Demonstratedability to identify customer needs and create solutions to meetthose needs
  • Effective communication skills (written, oral, ⪯sentation)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to make soundstrategic decisions, incorporating data from multiple sources andbusiness judgment
  • Ability to work cross functionally withindividuals at all levels in an organization and understand theirneeds/motivations and manage complex cross-functional projects

  • A demonstrated proficiency inthe use of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint – and ability to developand deliver effective presentations.
