We operate a brick and mortar store in Cambridge, MA where we sell pure spices, spice blends, and spice accessories, as well as teach classes and hold events. Our spice blending studio, fulfillment center and warehouse is located in Winchester, MA. We aim to create an intense sensory and educational experience for people who visit our website or shop and to bring them closer to the communities of farmers around the world who cultivate these flavors. Our products are sold online, directly to restaurants, and through other retail stores across North America. We are an independent, woman-owned benefit corporation. Job Mission To articulate the heart and soul of Curio’s brand through engaging, educational, and persuasive writing. The Copywriter supports our storytelling across channels—from spice descriptions to email campaigns—ensuring that our values, mission, and creativity come through clearly in every word. This role will work collaboratively with the Marketing team to support campaigns, product launches, ecommerce optimization, and customer communications. Job DescriptionResponsibilities Content Capture Visit Curio’s Cambridge store and/or Winchester facility once per month to shoot brand-aligned content (products, lifestyle, behind-the-scenes, team, events). Coordinate in advance with the Marketing Manager to confirm content needs (shot list, themes, products, etc.). Capture a mix of assets including: Seamless product photography Lifestyle/environmental scenes Short-form and B-roll video Educational or campaign-specific visuals Editing & Delivery Edit and export final photos and video clips within 2 weeks of the shoot date. Provide a balanced mix of polished and native-style content (e.g., square crops, reels-ready, light retouching). Upload all files to a designated Google Drive folder, neatly organized by date, format, and usage type (e.g., Email, Social, Web). Asset Management Maintain clear and consistent file naming conventions. Tag or note recommended usage, especially for multi-platform assets (e.g., Instagram stories vs. product pages). Ensure content is accessible for the Curio team and archived for future use. Skills and QualificationsRequired Ability to manage priorities and multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite Strong attention to detail Proficiency in DSLR/mirrorless photography and video capture Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator) Familiarity with tools like Google Drive or other asset management platforms Strong visual storytelling instincts and attention to brand voice/aesthetic Highly organized, self-motivated, and collaborative Strong communication and time management skills Preferred Experience writing for food, lifestyle, or sustainability-focused brands Interest in culinary storytelling and global food traditions
