We market products that cover every category of the beverage alcohol industry and represent the world’s leading distillers, wineries, and importers. Our team of managers, sales agents, and customer service representatives are here to ensure that you come first. Fedway Associates is seeking a Agave Spirits Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is responsible for managing the sales and distribution of agave products, such as tequila and mezcal, to ensure the profitability and continued growth of the product segment for the company.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, including suppliers, retailers, and bars and restaurants, to ensure that the company’s agave products are readily available and highly visible.
- Manage the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals, to ensure that the company meets or exceeds its revenue targets.
- Stay updated with market trends and customer preferences to help inform product development and marketing strategies.
- develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive awareness and demand for the company’s agave-based products.
- The agave specialist must provide education and training to clients and customers to help them better understand this category of products and how to sell and serve them.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development, sales, and marketing, to ensure that the company’s agave products align with overall business goals.
- Allocate resources effectively to maximize the return on investment for marketing and sales activities while staying within budget.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding sales and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Industry certification, such as Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) or Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT), is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Statistics, Business, or a related field is required.
- One to three years of related experience in business, promotional sales, customer service, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at a time.
- Travel to customer and supplier sites, including occasional overnight travel.
- Due to the nature of our business, occasional weekend/evening activities are required. Compensation
