The ideal candidate will collaborate with our worship leaders and musicians to foster an atmosphere that uplifts, encourages, and connects people with God. This is a part-time, paid position requiring availability for July and August, with the potential for additional Sundays in the future. About Our Church Christ United Fellowship Orlando is a PCA church whose first public worship began in 2015 in Orlando’s South of Downtown (SODO). We are a gospel-centered, diverse church where anyone is welcome to experience and share in the love of Christ. We desire that everyone know Christ and become more like Him! Our congregation worships through various musical styles, including gospel, modern, and classical hymns, contemporary songs with rich theological content, and traditional hymns. Our congregation loves to sing songs by Fred Hammond, Walter Hawkins, Chris Tomlin, Sovereign Grace Music, Kevin Twit, Matt Redman, Keith & Kristyn Getty, and others. Song Selection and Planning—10% Actively contribute to the creative process of worship planning, offering ideas and suggestions for song selections, arrangements, and worship elements. Collaborate with the Director of Music and other musicians to ensure cohesive, worshipful services. Keyboard Performance—60% Participate in weekly worship services, including rehearsals and sound checks. Provide musical support that enhances congregational singing and complements the worship team’s vocalists and instrumentalists. Adapt to various musical styles, including gospel, modern hymns, and contemporary worship songs. Rehearsals—20% Attend rehearsals with the worship team to prepare for upcoming services. Collaborate with musicians and vocalists to refine musical arrangements and transitions. Meetings – 10% Meet regularly with the Director of Music, musicians, and volunteers for planning, encouragement, and team development. Qualifications A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Christ United Fellowship. Agreement with our Statement of Faith and Staff Lifestyle Agreement . Proficiency in playing the keyboard or piano, with experience in a church worship setting preferred. Ability to play a range of worship styles (gospel, hymns, contemporary) or a willingness to learn and adapt. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Reliable, punctual, and prepared for rehearsals and services.
