Worship Leader Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

Worship Leader Risen Chapel 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, Cary, NC 27519 Summary Risen Chapel, a congregation of the Global Methodist Church, is looking for a Part-Time Worship Leader to assist in planning and leading relevant, Spirit-filled worship grounded in sound biblical doctrine and traditional Wesleyan theology. Essential Functions Collaborate with the pastor and worship team to plan and coordinate music for all Sunday morning worship services, blending contemporary and traditional music styles. As part of the worship team, create the lyric slides for the songs during the worship service using the team’s software. Communicate with A/V volunteers and personnel needs for Sunday morning worship and special services, and ensure necessary equipment is maintained and available for worship service(s). Provide worship for non-Sunday services, including but not limited to Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve. Work well with, recruit, train, and lead any volunteer instrumentalists and/or singers to enhance the music ministry at Risen Chapel. Foster the growth of new musicians and leaders within the worship ministry. Organize and prepare weekly rehearsals (as needed) to ensure good flow and facilitate a meaningful, well-rounded worship experience. Report directly to and communicate regularly with the pastor on creative but reverent ways to enhance worship services and experiences. Aid the Worship and Leadership teams in preparing Risen Chapel’s annual budget regarding worship needs. Ensure proper reporting and compliance with CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) regarding Risen Chapel’s Song Select, Copyright, and Streaming Licenses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Education Requirements Self-motivated enough to take the initiative and work independently; humble enough to work well within a team setting and gracefully receive direction and guidance. Solid grasp of traditional Wesleyan theology and sound biblical doctrine to select meaningful and doctrinally sound songs. Understand and be willing to uphold Global Methodist polity and doctrine. Possess the musical skill and knowledge needed to faithfully lead Risen Chapel in worship, including but not limited to a strong vocal ability and/or ability to proficiently play an instrument (such as guitar or piano). Prior experience in leading worship in a traditional or contemporary setting is recommended. Formal education is not required. Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities A committed Christian with an active faith life and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Agreement with the theology, standards, and policies of the Global Methodist Church. Support for and alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Risen Chapel Global Methodist Church. Excellent vocal and/or musical skills, with the ability to arrange music and manage sound equipment.
